1. Data Controller

The Ghost Recruiter Detector extension is published by an independent developer. For any question regarding this policy, contact: ghostrecruiter3@gmail.com.

2. Data Collected and Purposes

2.1 Data processed locally (on your device)

The extension reads only the content of the LinkedIn page currently open, and only when you voluntarily click the "Analyze" button. The data read includes:

• The name and professional title publicly displayed on the profile or job posting
• The company, location, and follower count that are publicly visible
• The presence of a profile photo and the custom profile URL
• The text content of the "About" section and other public sections
• For job postings: the title, description, age, and number of applicants

This data is never stored persistently on your device beyond the active session.

2.2 Data processed by the AI service

To produce the analysis, the data extracted from the LinkedIn page is transmitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to an intermediary server (Cloudflare Workers), which relays it to the Anthropic AI service (Claude). This data is:

• Used only to produce the requested score and analysis
• Not stored by Anthropic beyond the time necessary for processing, in accordance with Anthropic's privacy policy
• Never used to train AI models, in accordance with the Anthropic API terms

2.3 Data stored locally by the extension

The extension stores only the following in your browser (via chrome.storage.local):

• The counter of free analyses used (an integer)
• The Pro subscription status (a boolean)
• The last analysis result, to redisplay it when the popup is reopened (cleared with each new analysis)

None of this data is transmitted to a third-party server. It can be erased at any time by uninstalling the extension or clearing your browser data.

3. Data NOT Collected

The extension NEVER collects:

• Any personal identifier (name, email, phone number)
• Any LinkedIn password or authentication information
• Any browsing history
• Any data outside the LinkedIn pages you explicitly analyze
• Any location data
• Any biometric or health data
• Any personal communication (messages, emails)

4. Cookies and Trackers

The extension uses no cookies, no tracking pixels, and no behavioral analytics tools (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.).

5. Data Sharing with Third Parties

No data is sold, rented, or shared with third parties for commercial purposes. The only technical third parties involved are:

• Cloudflare (server proxy) — request relay only, no storage
• Anthropic (Claude AI service) — ephemeral processing to produce the analysis
• Lemon Squeezy (payments) — only if you purchase a Pro subscription or Lifetime plan, to process the payment and provide proof of purchase

6. Data Retention

• Data processed by the AI: for the processing time only (a few seconds)
• Local data (counter, last result): until uninstallation or manual reset
• Payment data (if you purchase): in accordance with Lemon Squeezy's policy

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation grants you the following rights:

• Right of access to your data — since no personal data is retained, this right is satisfied by default
• Right to rectification — not applicable, as there is no stored data to correct
• Right to erasure — uninstalling the extension erases all local data
• Right to portability — there is no data to port
• Right to object — simply not clicking "Analyze" prevents any processing

8. Security

Communications between the extension, the Cloudflare proxy, and the Anthropic API are encrypted end-to-end via HTTPS/TLS. No API key or sensitive information is stored in the client-side code of the extension.

9. Minors

The extension is not intended for persons under 16 years of age. If you are a minor, do not use this extension without the consent of your parents or legal guardians.

10. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the extension or to applicable regulations. The last update date is shown at the top of this document. Any significant change will be announced on the Chrome Web Store listing.

11. Disclaimer on AI Analysis

The results provided by Ghost Recruiter Detector are generated by artificial intelligence (Claude by Anthropic). These analyses are probabilistic estimates, never certainties. You remain the sole judge of your professional decisions. See the Terms of Service for more details.
